Motorcycle collides with car on FM 973, killing David Banta
AUSTIN, TX – A 38-year-old man died last Friday in a motorcycle crash along a major roadway in east-central Austin, reports yahoo!news.
The two-vehicle accident occurred just north of Del Valle on the northbound side of FM 973 at Prado Ranch Boulevard. This is just east of Hornsby Bend.
The investigation indicates that a northbound motorcycle struck the left rear of a car in the intersection. The car was turning left from Prado Ranch at the time of the collision.
The motorcyclist, identified as David Banta of Austin, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
It’s unclear which driver had the right-of-way at the time of the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
