Jeep and sedan collide on TX-91 in Denison, killing Darrel White
DENISON, TX – An Oklahoma man sustained fatal injuries Monday in a wrong-way crash along the highway in northwest Denison, reports KTEN 10.
The collision happened in the afternoon on TX-91 near Denison Dam and between FM 1310 and the Texas and Oklahoma state line.
The initial investigation indicates that a southbound sedan entered the northbound side of the highway and crashed head-on into a northbound Jeep carrying a woman and three children.
The driver of the sedan, since identified as 71-year-old Darrel White, died at the scene.
Medics transported the 34-year-old driver of the Jeep to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
All three children from the Jeep also required hospitalization, two with serious injuries.
Officials closed both sides of TX-91 for around four hours while crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
