Robert Sneed, 56, IDed as victim in Waco bicycle accident
WACO, TX – A car struck and fatally injured a 56-year-old cyclist Friday night at a busy Waco intersection, reports Fox 44.
The collision occurred shortly before 9 p.m. at the intersection of North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Carver Avenue, which is northwest of US-84 and east of the Brazos River.
Police say that a northbound vehicle hit an eastbound cyclist in the intersection.
It’s not yet clear which party had right of way at the time of the crash.
The cyclist, who has since been identified as Robert Sneed, died after transport to an area hospital.
The driver involved in the accident stopped to render aid and to speak with police.
No charges are pending at this time, as the investigation continues.
