Guillermo Garcia fatally struck on I-20 near Mountain Creek

DALLAS, TX – An alleged drunk driver struck and fatally injured a man along the interstate in southwest Dallas Wednesday afternoon, reports Fox 4 News.

The auto-pedestrian crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. on I-20 between Mountain Creek Parkway and Spur 408 in the Mountain Creek area.

Police say that 41-year-old Selvin Amador Morazon was intoxicated when he lost control of his SUV and struck 66-year-old Guillermo Garcia on the interstate.

Garcia was fixing a tire on his truck when the accident happened. He died after transport to an area hospital.

Authorities arrested Amador Morazon on a charge of intoxication manslaughter.

A full investigation is underway.
