Pickup hits, injures Eric Osornio, 16, at Houston ISD bus stop
HOUSTON, TX – A vehicle struck and injured a teen boy Monday at a school bus stop in north-central Houston, reports Click 2 Houston.
Emergency crews responded to an auto-pedestrian crash Monday afternoon near Henry Road and Isetta Lane in the Aldine Gardens area.
Police say that 16-year-old Eric Osornio was exiting a school bus when a silver truck hit him.
Medics transported Osornio to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the silver truck stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities. He indicated that the warning lights on the school bus were not functioning when the crash occurred.
No charges have been filed so far.
A full investigation is underway.
