Austin Reel, 19, IDed as victim in Lubbock motorcycle collision

LUBBOCK, TX – A 19-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Thursday in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident along a major roadway in Lubbock.

According to EverythingLubbock, the crash occurred shortly after 12:30 p.m. on 19th Street between the Marsha Sharp Freeway and Memphis Avenue.

The investigation indicates that Austin Reel lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected after hitting a median and a guardrail.

The motorcyclist died after transport to an area hospital.

There were no passengers on the bike at the time of the collision.
