Toddler dead after being struck by vehicle in home driveway in Parker Co. 

PARKER COUNTY, TX – A 1-year-old toddler died after he was unintentionally struck by a relative’s car in the driveway of a home in Parker County on Tuesday. 

NBCDFW said the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Parker County deputies’ preliminary details revealed that one family member exited their home and went to move their vehicle parked further away from the home. The toddler also exited the home without the home occupants’ knowledge. 

The family member said they wanted to move the vehicle closer to the home for protection from an oncoming storm. As they pulled into the driveway, that’s when they struck the toddler, who was in their blind spot. 

The toddler’s family performed CPR until EMS arrival. 

Once at the scene, ambulance personnel rushed the 1-year-old boy to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Azle, where he later died. 

No citations have been reported at this time. 

The exact or estimated crash location was not reported, and the toddler’s identity was not disclosed.
