Christopher Ourfalian ID’d as one of victims in fatal wrong-way crash in North Dallas

NORTH DALLAS, TX – The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office identified one of the victims who was killed in a wrong-way crash in North Dallas on Tuesday.

This comes as an update in connection with the story we first published on Tuesday. Officials told WFAA that one of the deceased was identified as 23-year-old Christopher Ourfalian, a chef at two acclaimed Dallas restaurants, Mot Hai Ba and Pillar. The other person who died has not been publicly identified.

The incident unfolded around 1 a.m. on U.S. 75 near Valleydale Drive. Dallas Police confirmed that a sedan driver was going north when they crashed into a southbound SUV.

The sedan driver was ejected from their vehicle and died from their injuries at the scene. EMS crews rushed the SUV driver and passenger to the hospital. There, the SUV passenger died from their injuries, and the passenger was treated for critical injuries.

Police did not specify whether Ourfalian was the sedan driver or SUV passenger. Police have also not confirmed why the sedan driver was driving the wrong way.

For several hours, the area remained blocked off, calling for drivers to exit at U.S. 75 Service Road for the time being.

This is a developing situation. We will provide updates once we learn more.
