At least 1 killed in fiery truck collision in Carrollton 

CARROLLTON, TX – At least one person died in a fiery truck collision that happened around midnight on Wednesday on Interstate35East. 

The incident occurred along the George Bush Turnpike. Images from NBCDFW showed a completely charred truck that overturned on its side in a grassy area. The events leading up to the collision remain unclear, although it appears as though the truck crashed into a pole. 

Carrollton and Lewisville Police responded to the scene together and closed the area for several hours, indicating that the interstate still remained closed by 10:30 a.m. 

The name of the victim has not been released. 

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
