Man, 27, expected to plead guilty after deadly 2025 crash near Terrell

NEAR TERRELL, TX – A 27-year-old man is expected to plead guilty after a deadly crash that happened in June 2025, Fox4News said.

The 27-year-old man, identified as Alexis Osmani Gonzalez-Companioni, is scheduled to make a court appearance on Thursday, June 25, and enter a plea deal.

Gonzalez-Companioni is facing five counts of manslaughter after he fell asleep while driving an 18-wheeler on I-20 and crashed into several vehicles, including two other semi-trucks.

Four people inside one of the involved vehicles, a Ford F-150 pickup truck, and a Jeep passenger died, while a fifth person inside the Ford truck survived and was treated for serious injuries.

Investigators believe Gonzalez-Companioni did not press on his brakes prior to the collision.
