Pedestrian Gina Murphy fatally struck by sports car in Grand Prairie 

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX – A pedestrian died after she was struck by a sports car in Grand Prairie on Sunday, Fox4News said.

The pedestrian-vehicle crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. on the 900th block of South Belt Line Road. Preliminary details reveal that a Maserati driver failed to negotiate a curve, leading them to crash into a female pedestrian. 

The pedestrian, who was later identified as 50-year-old Gina Murphy, succumbed to her injuries a short time later at the scene. 

Police do not believe the driver was impaired, but said they had been distracted while driving. 

The motorist was uninjured and is cooperating with police. 

The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office has started an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
