Driver slams into stopped police vehicle in Kaufman Co.

KAUFMAN CO., TX – Authorities are sharing footage of a crash that nearly injured a Kaufman County sheriff’s deputy and a Forney police officer to remind drivers to move over and slow down for emergency responders.

NBC DFW reports that  the incident happened shortly before 3:20 a.m. on July 5. The outlet did not provide a specific location for the crash.

Body camera footage shows the sheriff’s deputy and the police officer talking to a man and a woman by the side of a road. The officer then turns to walk back to his police car when another vehicle suddenly slams into it before he gets there.

It is unclear whether the other driver was hurt.
