Adult, child sent to ER after pickup truck crash in Denison 

DENISON, TX – EMS crews brought an adult and child to a hospital after a single pickup truck crash on Monday. 

KTEN said the crash occurred on U.S. 75 near exit 69, leading to Viking Street. A driver of a white Chevy pickup truck was driving south when they experienced a tire issue, causing them to leave their southbound lane, crash into a wall, and veer into several northbound lanes before the truck landed in a creek. 

The truck was significantly damaged, and it had trapped or pinned an adult and a child. Eyewitness, John Diebel, told KTEN that he stepped in to help them, using a sledgehammer and axe to try and break through the truck to free them prior to first responders’ arrival. 

Local fire crews were able to rescue the adult and child, who appeared to be a mother and daughter, before ambulance personnel transported them to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
