1 life claimed in sedan-truck crash in Alvarado 

ALVARADO, TX – One life was claimed in a sedan-truck crash in Alvarado on Thursday, Fox4News reports. 

The collision happened around 4:30 a.m. on Interstate 35West near mile marker 27. A driver of a sedan, who was traveling north, was said to have traveled a high-rate of speed when they crashed into the back of a cement truck. 

EMS crews rushed the sedan driver to a hospital. The motorist, who was initially in critical condition, later died from their injuries. 

The cement truck driver stayed at the scene, was not injured, and cooperated with Alvarado Police. 

Officials closed the area and told commuters to expect traffic delays as crews worked to clean up debris from the road. 

Authorities have not released the sedan driver’s name.
