Driver dead following Dallas rear-end collision with parked semi-truck
DALLAS, TX – A driver died as a result of a rear-end collision involving a parked semi-truck on Interstate 20 West on Wednesday, WFAA said.
The incident occurred at Westmoreland Street and under Highway 67, and warranted a response from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, which pulled up to the scene around 4 p.m.
Deputies said a driver of an unspecified vehicle crashed into the back of a parked big rig, leading to their injuries.
Due to the serious nature of the collision, officials closed two right lanes on Interstate 20 and the shoulder, as well as the westbound ramp connecting to Highway 67.
Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased or specified the factors leading to the rear-end collision.
