Pedestrian dies after being hit by SUV, thrown into path of Waymo

DALLAS, TX – A pedestrian died on Friday night after being hit by an SUV and thrown into the path of a Waymo vehicle, WFAA reports.

Authorities say the fatal accident happened somewhere on Maple Avenue shortly before midnight on August 7. A southbound SUV hit a man who was walking in the roadway with enough force to throw him over 30 feet and into the back of an unoccupied Waymo vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
