Big rig rollover collision closes I-30 in Royse City

ROYSE CITY, TX – Authorities shut down Interstate 30 West for more than 12 hours after a big rig rollover collision that happened on Thursday.

Royse City police told Fox4News that the crash happened around 7:30 p.m. and said closures extended into Friday to allow crews, with several heavy-duty tow trucks, to stabilize and remove the large truck.

During the closures, police redirected traffic to the frontage road, resulting in traffic congestion that extended for several miles.

It’s not immediately clear what caused the crash, whether other vehicles were involved, or if anyone was injured. Thesedetails, along with other crash-related information, will be posted in an updated article once we know more.
