3, including pedestrian, hospitalized after chain-reaction crash in Plano

PLANO, TX – Three people, including a pedestrian, were sent to the hospital after a chain-reaction crash in Plano on Saturday.

Fox4News said the incident happened before 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of eastbound East Parker Road and Avenue K. Plano police determined that a driver of a silver Ford Explorer was traveling at a high rate of speed on eastbound Parker Road and veered into the westbound lane and crashed into a pedestrian standing in the median.

The pedestrian went into the air and crashed into another eastbound vehicle. The silver Ford Explorer then crashed into five vehicles stopped at a red light.

Police said two other vehicles were also involved, and several vehicles were damaged in this chain-reaction crash.

EMS crews transported the pedestrian, the Ford driver, and another driver to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
