Woman in her 50s loses life in collision involving vehicle in Dallas 

DALLAS, TX – A woman in her 50s lost her life as a result of a collision involving a vehicle in Dallas on Monday, Fox4News reports. 

The incident happened before 2:30 a.m. on the 700th block of East Ann Arbor Avenue. Dallas police told the source that the woman in her 50s was using a wheelchair and traveling outside of the marked crosswalk when she was struck by a westbound pickup truck. 

The pickup truck driver stayed at the scene and called 911. 

Dallas Fire Rescue/EMS pulled up to the scene and rushed the woman in the wheelchair to a hospital, where she later died. 

Police confirmed there was a lack of lighting and indicated the pedestrian was at fault. They said the driver fully cooperated with investigators and appeared not to issue a citation to the motorist.
