1 killed, 5 hospitalized following two-vehicle crash in Gunter 

GUNTER, TX – One person was killed, and five people were sent to a hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Gunter on Sunday. 

An SUV and another vehicle collided on FM 121, east of FM spur 121, KTEN said. 

The impact of the crash injured the SUV driver, the other motorist, and three SUV passengers, while one passenger from the other vehicle died from their injuries. 

Ambulance crews transported the three SUV passengers, and medical helicopter personnel airlifted the SUV driver to a hospital. The other driver was also taken to the emergency room, but it’s not immediately clear whether it was viaambulance or by the medical helicopter.  

Gunter Volunteer Fire Rescue, Tioga Volunteer Fire Rescue, and Van Alstyne Fire and Celina Fire also responded to the scene. 

Law enforcement has not released the names of those involved in the crash or confirmed the factors behind the collision.
