Downed power lines reported after big rig plows into utility pole in NW Dallas 

NORTHWEST DALLAS, TX – Downed power lines reported after a big rig plowed into a utility pole in Northwest Dallas on Tuesday. 

The truck collision happened before 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of W Northwest Highway and Newkirk Street, according to WFAA. 

Despite the serious nature of the crash, the truck driver was uninjured, Dallas Fire Rescue confirmed. 

Officials temporarily closed the area to accommodate the on-scene clean-up process and to allow energy crews to repair those lines.

It’s not immediately clear if there were power outages in the area and what exactly led to the truck collision.
