6-year-old child killed, 2 hospitalized after two-vehicle crash in Pilot Point 

PILOT POINT, TX – A 6-year-old child was killed, and two others were taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the outskirts of Pilot Point. 

KTEN broke the news on Tuesday, Sept. 29, saying the collision happened at the intersection of FM 1385 and Friendship Road. Texas Department of Public Safety said the incident unfolded when a 37-year-old adult, who drove a truck and was headed north, failed to yield to a southbound car and crashed into that car. 

The 6-year-old child inside that car died from their injuries, while the car driver, a 39-year-old adult, and another passenger — a 13-year-old teenager — suffered serious injuries. 

EMS transported the seriously injured occupants to a hospital for treatment. 

DPS did not report injuries for the 37-year-old adult driver nor confirm whether they were cited or arrested for their involvement in the crash.
