Daniel Barbosa-López & another dead following head-on crash in Seagoville

SEAGOVILLE, TX – A 12-year-old boy identified as Daniel Barbosa-López and another person died as a result of a head-on crash that happened earlier this month in Seagoville. 

Police told Fox4News that the incident unfolded when one car veered into traffic and collided head-on with a vehicle occupied by Daniel and his family members. 

Daniel and the other motorist died from their injuries, while three others, including Daniel’s brother and sister, were injured. 

Jese Garcia, Daniel’s father, said his daughter had to undergo pelvic surgery and insert a plate, and said his older son suffered several broken bones and a collapsed lung. 

It’s not immediately clear what caused the other driver to go into the opposite lane.
