Pilot’s life claimed in fiery plane collision outside Hicks Airfield 

NORTH FORT WORTH, TX – A pilot’s life was claimed in a fiery plane collision that happened outside Hicks Airfield in North Fort Worth on Wednesday. 

The crash occurred before 10 a.m. off Bonds Ranch Road, between Willow Springs Road and Business 287, according to NBCDFW. 

Firefighters pulled up to the scene and saw the burning plane. Only when fire crews extinguished the flames did they notice the pilot inside, who unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. 

The collision also resulted in power outages, which have since been restored. 

A full investigation is underway.
