Serious injuries sustained in pedestrian-vehicle collision in Dallas

DALLAS, TX – A man was seriously injured in a pedestrian-vehicle collision in Dallas on Wednesday, according to Fox4News.

The incident occurred before 1 a.m. on the 500th block of South R.L. Thornton Freeway, south of 10th Street. A driver said she saw a man walking directly into traffic and pressed on her brakes and swerved to try to avoid hitting him, but was unable to avoid a collision.

EMS with Dallas Fire-Rescue rushed the pedestrian to a hospital for treatment.

Police determined pedestrian error played a part in the collision and said they do not believe the motorist will be facing any criminal charges for her involvement in the crash.
