Chain reaction crash kills 1, hurts 2 on IH-30WB in Grand Prairie

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX – One person died, and two others went to the hospital early Sunday morning after a driver failed to stop for slower traffic on the interstate, reports CBS News.

The incident happened around 3 a.m. in the area of 4700 East IH-30, which is west of South Walton Walker Boulevard and east of MacArthur Boulevard.

Police say that a westbound pickup truck neglected to slow down for traffic ahead of him on the interstate. The pickup truck driver collided with a vehicle ahead of him, which initiated a chain reaction crash.

The collision killed one driver, and two other people were hospitalized with non-critical injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
