Car strikes, kills 5-year-old at Glen Knoll mobile home park in Wylie

WYLIE, TX – A five-year-old boy died Wednesday after a vehicle struck him at a mobile home park in south-central Collin County, reports The Wylie News.

The incident happened at 6:31 p.m. at Glen Knoll Mobile Home Park in Wylie, which is about 31 miles northeast of Dallas.

Police say the young boy was riding his bicycle in the neighborhood when the vehicle hit him.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the accident.

The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene to render aid and speak with authorities.
