3-vehicle crash on Hwy 31 at Surrey Trail in Tyler injures 3

TYLER, TX – A multi-vehicle crash along the highway on the east side of Tyler resulted in multiple injuries Thursday afternoon, reports KLTV 7.

The accident happened sometime before 2:30 p.m. on Highway 31 at Surrey Trail, which is just east of Southeast Loop 323.

Police say the accident involved three vehicles. One person became entrapped when their vehicle fell into a ditch along the highway, three people total went to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Photos taken at the scene indicate that the wreck likely blocked at least one lane of Highway 31. Officials urged drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
