Fiery crash with entrapment closes I-35E NB near Round Grove
LEWISVILLE, TX – Officials closed the interstate in southeast Lewisville early Monday after a fiery crash with entrapment, reports DFW Scanner.
Accident w/ Entrapment (Lewisville) Lewisville FD/EMS and PD are working a major accident on northbound I35E near Round Grove Road. Reports of a vehicle on fire. Engine 5 has extricated one person from the vehicle. All northbound lanes of I35E are closed.

The accident happened after midnight on the northbound side of I-35E near Round Grove Road, which is just southeast of Vista Ridge Village and south of Lakepointe Towne Crossing.
Police say that a vehicle caught fire after a collision. One person became trapped in the vehicle and required extrication.
It’s unclear if other vehicles were involved in the accident and if anyone required hospitalization for injuries.
Authorities urged drivers to avoid the area during extrication efforts while crews worked to clear scene.
