Car vs. motorcycle crash on Hwy 78 in Sasche injures Plano teacher

SASCHE, TX – A 46-year-old man sustained serious injuries last Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in northeast Dallas County, reports Fox 4 KDFW.

The accident happened in the afternoon along Highway 78 in the city of Sasche, which is about ten miles southeast of Plano. Officials have not yet disclosed the cross street for the collision.

Police say the victim’s motorcycle crashed into a vehicle that turned in front of him on Highway 78. It’s unclear which vehicle had the right of way at the time of the collision.

Authorities transported the motorcyclist, identified as Anthony Ruttenburg, to an area hospital with multiple injuries to his ribs, pelvis, spine, and collarbones.

The driver of the passenger vehicle did stop to render aid and speak with police.

Officials say that Ruttenburg is a special education teacher at a high school in Plano. His medical team says he will soon start rehab for his numerous injuries.

It’s not yet clear if the driver of the passenger vehicle will face charges in connection to the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
