Head-on crash along Hwy 62 near Circle C kills 1, injures 2

ORANGE, TX – An Orange woman sustained fatal injuries last Thursday morning in a wrong-way crash along the highway in east-central Orange County.

According to 12 News Now, the collision occurred around 8 a.m. on Highway 62 south of Circle C Ranch Road. This is just northwest of Orange Texas RV Resort.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a northbound Kia Soul entered the southbound side of Highway 62 and struck a pickup truck and one other vehicle.

The wrong-way driver, whom police have referred to as a 57-year-old woman, died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released her name to the public.

Medics transported the other two drivers to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
