Jarren Wallingsford, 47, killed in crash at Parmer and Samsung

AUSTIN, TX – A 47-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Monday morning in a two-vehicle collision in northeast Austin, reports KVUE. 

Emergency teams responded to reports of a major accident at the intersection of East Parmer Lane and Samsung Boulevard just after 7 a.m. This is just north of the East Village shopping center between Dessau and Harris Branch.

Police are still determining the cause and circumstances of the wreck, which ultimately killed one driver and injured the other.

Authorities identified the victim as Jarren T. Wallingsford. Crews attempted to resuscitate Wallingsford at the scene but were unsuccessful.

Medics transported the second driver to a Round Rock hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
