Ricardo Valencia, 42, killed in major crash near San Antonio

SCHERTZ, TX – A motorcyclist died Tuesday evening in a multi-vehicle wreck involving a semi-truck in west-central Guadalupe County, reports 107.1 KTSA.

Shortly after 6:30 p.m., emergency teams responded to a 3-vehicle crash along the I-35 access road near FM 3009 in the city of Schertz. This is about 22 miles northeast of San Antonio.

There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the accident. Police say that a motorcycle, an 18-wheeler, and an SUV collided. The impact ejected the motorcyclist from his bike.

Despite lifesaving efforts at the scene, the motorcyclist died. Authorities identified him as 42-year-old Ricardo Valencia of Cibolo.

It’s unclear if anyone else sustained injuries in the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
