Andrew Uzdavines, 78, killed in 2-vehicle crash in Bandera Co.
BANDERA CO., TX – An elderly man sustained fatal injuries last Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision along the highway in Bandera County, reports KSAT 12 News.
The accident occurred around 2 p.m. on TX-16. Authorities haven’t provided a cross street or mile marker for the incident.
Police say that a 1999 Toyota Tacoma collided with a southbound 2019 Dodge Ram when the driver of the Toyota failed to yield right of way while entering the highway from a private drive.
The driver of the Toyota, identified as 78-year-old Andrew J. Uzdavines, died at the scene of the wreck.
Authorities identified the driver of the Dodge as Bandera County Commissioner Troy Konvicka. It’s unclear if Konvicka sustained injuries in the crash or required hospitalization.
A full investigation is underway.
