Christina Arnold, 5-year-old son killed in Jasper Co. crash

JASPER CO., TX – A woman and a child died late Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle collision in north-central Jasper County, reports 12 News Now.

Just after 11 a.m., emergency teams received word of a major accident along County Road 32 near TX-63. This is just northwest of Jasper and 70 miles north of Beaumont.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of an eastbound 2014 Jeep SUV left County Road 32 and crashed into a tree along the roadway.

Medics transported an adult passenger and a 6-year-old passenger to a Lufkin hospital with non-critical injuries.

A five-year-old passenger died after transport to a Jasper hospital.

The driver of the Jeep, identified as 29-year-old Christina Arnold, succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
