Police review Magnolia Ave crash that claimed Christopher Denmon

PORT NECHES, TX – A 44-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Monday in a major accident in east-central Jefferson County, reports abc 12 News.

The collision happened shortly before 10 a.m. at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and 8th Street on the southwest side of Port Neches. This is about 13 miles southeast of Beaumont and four miles northeast of Nederland.

Police haven’t yet shared any details about the crash except to say that a man was ejected from a vehicle and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Authorities identified the victim as Christopher Eugene Denmon of Bridge City.

It’s unclear if any other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Officials closed Magnolia Road near 8th while emergency crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
