Opendra Bohara IDed as victim in SE Austin pedestrian crash

AUSTIN, TX – A 19-year-old man sustained fatal injuries last Friday in an auto-pedestrian crash along a busy roadway in southeast Austin, reports CBS Austin.

Shortly after 7 a.m., emergency crews were called to a major accident on East William Cannon Boulevard between Salt Springs Drive and South Pleasant Valley Road. This is near the Onion Creek Soccer Complex.

Police haven’t shared any details about the incident except to say that a vehicle struck and killed pedestrian.

Authorities identified the victim as Opendra Bohara.

The driver involved in the crash stopped to render aid and to speak with officials.

Motorists likely encountered delays Friday morning along this stretch of William Cannon while emergency teams gathered evidence and worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
