Camry and Dart collide in W Plano, killing Austin McCutcheon
PLANO, TX – A 27-year-old Addison man died Wednesday in a two-vehicle collision at a busy intersection on the west side of Plano, reports Plano Star Courier.
Around 2 a.m., emergency crews responded to a fatal crash at the intersection of Dallas Parkway and West Plano Parkway, which is just north of President George Bush Turnpike and southwest of Steeplechase Park.
Police say that the driver of a northbound Toyota Camry failed to heed a stop sign and struck a westbound Dodge Dart. This initial collision pushed the Toyota into a pole.
The driver of the Toyota, identified as Austin McCutcheon, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.
The female driver of the Dart was not hurt in the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
