Larry Castillo IDed as victim in Bexar Co. pedestrian crash
SAN ANTONIO, TX – A 48-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Saturday when a vehicle struck him along a major roadway in northwest San Antonio.
According to KSAT 12, emergency crews responded to an auto-pedestrian crash on Ingram Road near Callaghan Road around 9:30 p.m. This is east of I-410 in the Thunderbird Hills area.
Police say that a westbound 2024 Toyota Corolla hit a male pedestrian that was walking across Ingram outside of a designated crosswalk.
The pedestrian, identified as Larry Castillo, died after transport to an area hospital.
The driver involved in the crash stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.
No charges are pending at this time.
A full investigation is underway.
