Sebastian Guerrero claimed in Laredo auto-pedestrian crash
LAREDO, TX – A 33-year-old man sustained fatal injuries early Sunday when a vehicle hit him along the interstate in north-central Laredo, reports KGNS News.
Shortly before 6 a.m., emergency crews were called to an auto-pedestrian accident on the southbound side of I-35 between Calton Road and Chicago Street. This is just west of Taylor Ball Park and south of HEB.
At this time, it’s unclear if the victim was walking along the shoulder or in a lane of travel when a blue Toyota struck him.
Authorities identified the deceased pedestrian as Sebastian Guerrero.
A preliminary investigation indicates that low visibility may have been a factor in the crash. The driver did not appear to be intoxicated and did stop to render aid and to speak with police.
No charges have been filed thus far.
A full investigation is underway. Our team of news writers will keep apprised of the story and post updates if we learn more about what happened.
