Dodge 2500 strikes, kills Fannie Jane Garza in SE Lampasas

LAMPASAS, TX –  A woman sustained fatal injuries Saturday in an auto-pedestrian crash along the highway in south Lampasas, reports KCENTV 6. 

Shortly after 8:30 p.m., emergency teams responded to a fatal accident along US-190, or the Central Texas Expressway, between South Key Avenue and South Chestnut Street. This is just northeast of Hancock Springs Park.

Police say that Fannie Jane Garza was attempting to cross the highway when a westbound Dodge 2500 pickup truck hit her.

Garza succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the pickup truck stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.

No charges are pending at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
