Semi vs. pickup crash near Brownwood claims Brayden Baldwin
BROWN CO., TX – An 18-year-old sustained fatal injuries Saturday in a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck in southwestern Brown County, reports Big Country Homepage.
The accident occurred sometime in the afternoon along US-377 near mile marker 432, which is just southwest of Brownwood and around 80 miles southeast of Abilene.
Police say that wet road conditions caused the driver of a pickup truck to lose control of his vehicle and leave the roadway. While steering back onto US-377, the pickup collided with an 18-wheeler.
The impact of the crash caused the semi to ignite. The driver of the 18-wheeler sustained non-life-threatening injuries. It’s unclear if they required hospitalization.
The driver of the pickup truck succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Authorities identified him as Brayden Lynn Baldwin of Lampasas.
A full investigation is underway.
