Vehicle hits San Antonio home, killing Janice Walker

SAN ANTONIO, TX – An elderly woman sustained fatal Tuesday when a vehicle crashed into her house on the east side of San Antonio, reports KSAT 12.

The incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. on Da Foste Avenue between East Commerce Street and I-10. This is south of Willow Springs Golf Course and northwest of Wheatley Heights Sports Complex.

Police say that unidentified driver was speeding when they lost control of their vehicle. The driver ran from the scene immediately following the crash.

Janice Walker, 70, was sitting on her front porch when the collision occurred. Walker succumbed to her injuries after transport to an area hospital.

There’s no word yet regarding damages to the home.
