2-vehicle crash at Cooper and Pioneer kills Walton Rios-Vallejos

ARLINGTON, TX – One person died, and three people were hurt Sunday in a two-vehicle collision at a busy intersection in east-central Tarrant County, reports msn.

The accident occurred shortly after 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of South Cooper Street and Pioneer Parkway in Arlington, about 15 miles east of Fort Worth.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a westbound Honda Civic collided with a northbound Ford Explorer when the driver of the Honda failed to stop for a red light at the intersection.

The driver of the Honda, identified as 32-year-old Walton Yohelis Rios-Vallejos, died after transport to an area hospital.

Medics transported three people from the SUV to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
