Jamie Flores IDed as victim in Ector Co. crash on University
ODESSA, TX – A two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck claimed one life last Wednesday evening in central Ector County, reports Your Basin.
The accident occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. at FM 866 and West University Boulevard on the far western edge of West Odessa. This is about 144 miles southwest of Lubbock.
Police say that a westbound Nissan Armada collided with a northbound Peterbilt 18-wheeler when the driver of the Nissan failed to yield right of way at the stop sign.
The 38-year-old driver of the Nissan died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities identified her as Jamie Lynn Flores of Odessa.
The 61-year-old truck driver did not sustain injuries in the collision.
A full investigation is underway.
