Manuel Vidana-Contreras fatally struck on W 42nd in Odessa
ODESSA, TX – A 55-year-old man sustained fatal injuries last Wednesday in an auto-pedestrian collision that happened in Ector County, reports NewsWest 9.
The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of West 42nd Street and Farm to Market 1936 in northwest Odessa. This is south of TX-302 and west of TX-338.
Police say that an eastbound 2024 Lincoln Nautilus struck Manuel Vidana-Contreras as he attempted to cross West 42nd Street. Vidana-Contreras was then hit by a second vehicle, which did not stop.
Vidana-Contreras died at the scene of the crash.
Authorities are still looking for the driver of the second vehicle involved in the accident.
