Fort Worth PD responds to double-fatality crash on I-20 EB
FORT WORTH, TX – Two people died, and at least one other person sustained serious injuries Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision in Tarrant County, reports NBC DFW 5.
Shortly before 2:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a fatal accident on the eastbound side of I-20 near Granbury Road in southwest Fort Worth. This is just southwest of Wedgwood Academy.
Police haven’t yet commented on the cause of the crash or the manner in which the two vehicles impacted. They say that both drivers became entrapped in their vehicles. A passenger was thrown from a vehicle.
One of the drivers and the ejected passenger succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Authorities have not yet released their names to the public.
Medics transported the second driver to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
