David Bailey IDed as victim in Comal Co. crash on TX-46
CANYON LAKE, TX – A 60-year-old man died Tuesday in a single-vehicle collision along the highway in central Comal County, reports KENS 5.
Authorities received reports of a major accident along TX-46 near South Cranes Mill Road in Canyon Lake shortly before 8:30 a.m. Canyon Lake is around 20 miles northwest of New Braunfels.
An initial investigation indicates that a the driver of a westbound Dodge Ram pickup truck lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, and rolled after hitting both a fence and a utility pole.
The driver of the pickup truck, since identified as David James Bailey, sustained fatal injuries.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
