Wrong-way crash at I-35W and Garden Acres claims Saul Flores
FORT WORTH, TX – A two-vehicle collision along the interstate in south-central Fort Worth killed two people early Wednesday, reports WFAA News 8.
Shortly after 2 a.m., emergency teams responded to a wrong-way crash near I-35 West and Garden Acres Drive in the Parks of Deer Creek neighborhood.
Police say that 18-year-old Alex Perez was likely intoxicated when his southbound vehicle entered the northbound side of the interstate and crashed head-on into a northbound vehicle carrying two people.
The occupants of the northbound vehicle died at the scene of the accident. Authorities identified the victims as 44-year-old Saul Carlos Flores and 63-year-old Fructoso Cielo Tlatenchi.
Authorities arrested Perez on charges of intoxication manslaughter.
A full investigation is underway.
