Miguel Martinez killed in pedestrian crash at US-90, Cupples

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A car fatally struck a 34-year-old man Monday morning along the highway in central San Antonio, reports News 4 SA.

The accident occurred around 6 a.m. on the westbound side of US-90 near Cupples Road in the Greater Gardendale area.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Miguel Martinez experienced car trouble and pulled to the side of the highway. While Martinez was standing alongside his vehicle, a car hit him.

The driver involved in the accident stopped to render aid and to speak with police.

Authorities pronounced Martinez deceased at the scene of the crash.
